Designed for 2nd-3rd grade readers, it includes a short passage about Johnny Appleseed, multiple choice answers, and a picture to create using their answers as the key!
Students will love interacting with the text as they use colors to find the evidence in the passage to support their answers. There are 2 versions of the passage so you can easily differentiate as needed with your students. Higher order thinking skills are also practiced with questions that require students to use skills such as making an inference and using context clues.
This activity is great to go with a unit on Johnny Appleseed, or anytime during the fall when you need a fresh way to practice fluency and comprehension.
